Westworld Thoughts

Hey Guys,

Just been listening to the Deep Dive for Episode 2 and had a few thoughts.

I think William’s project (the “weapon” ) is possibly the body-swap facility. Either host-to-host, human-to-host or both. William seems to have promised Jim Delos an answer to his illness and this could be a place built to research that.

Regarding the tin foil hat theory of Peter Abernathy being Big Poppa Delos, I can only think this would be the case if it was an experiment that went wrong and they thought “fuck it, no point wasting a perfectly good host” .

Also, the scene with William fixing himself has him using the same kind of cauterising tool that was used on Sylvester back in Season 1. I’m going to buy a theory that Teddy is Mr. Wednesday before I’ll believe that the MiB is a Host, even if these tools are the same as used on the hosts.

Finally, the line from Theresa Cullen way back at the beginning of season one is really resonating with me with what we’ve seen of Season 2 so far: “This place is one thing to the guests, another thing to the shareholders and something completely different to management.”

Really enjoying the podcasts guys, it’s an enhancement to the TV series for me.
