You guys, Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow was written in 1986 by Alan Moore, the author of Watchmen. It was written as the ending to the superman character pre crisis. Crisis on Infinite Earths was when DC Comics rebooted all their continuity so this was considered the end of that version of Superman
