Great podcast this week. I think I may have enjoyed it more than the episode.

Your discussion of Free Will and Capitalism reminded me of a great book by Erich Fromm called “The Sane Society”.

Fromm argued that the individual is really just a creation of Society to begin with, along the lines of what you all were saying. Therefore judging any single person to be “insane” seemed to him a ridiculous notion.

If our very minds themselves are really just given to us by Society, then it’s hard to argue we have Free Will.

Perhaps Dolores will come to the same conclusion Fromm did, and not blame any individual human? Perhaps she already has?
