Great first episode (IMO). I loved the world building and the thing I appreciated the most was that it was believable. The clubs, social media, tech drugs, even the “drone car” was somewhat believable. I could actually see some company actually trying to make that! Even though i’m anxious for them to reveal the Pearl ID’s the new characters were great. I enjoyed the introduction of Caleb & The Gang as well as Liam Dempsy Jr (Encite creator’s son). Gene, while I didn’t recognized your favorite band playing, I do understand your excitement. I felt the exact same way in Season 2 when they played Wutang C.R.E.A.M. in Shogun world!! They threw a lot at us for world building sake but they got their point across. They’ve already dropped the first clue/red herring with the “simulation in a simulation” line. We’ll see how that pans out.

As usual, can’t wait until ep2!
