Associates,

It seems like you guys got some flak for your latest Westworld cast and I just wanted to let you know I think you’re doing a great job, especially now when frankly you guys are nearly “essential employees” for some of us (I’m not saying I’m your boss- you know what I mean). I think on the hierarchy of essential-ness, you’re obviously not healthcare or grocery store employees (what studs those people are these days huh?), but you might be up there with trash collectors. I could maybe go a week without throwing out the trash, but not a week without podcasts.

Anyway, take no heed of people that attack your dipshit opinions, because that’s all any of us have. If I wanted to just “hear” my own dipshit opinions, I’d sit at home and social di- okay maybe that’s a bad example. But if I wanted to hear the dipshit opinions of unlikeable manchildren, I’d go to reddit. But since I’d rather hear the dipshit opinions of likeable people that I feel a strange closeness with over the years, I choose all of you. So that’s why I keep listening, even if most of Ashley’s theory stuff goes over my head/makes me roll my eyes.

Something one of you guys said today, though, did jump out at me. If Maeve is in tune with the “whisper network” and something even beyond that, while Dolores’ clones seem to be drifting from the “source material”, it could be a nice observation on the notion of communalism vs individuality, or, if you want to get very divisive, socialism/communism vs capitalism. It would be interesting if, in the end, it took a balance of both approaches to solve the “issues” (assuming the primary issue of this season is Serac).

I haven’t thought too much about this, it just came to mind when Big D contrasted Dolores to Maeve’s mesh network abilities.

Cheers,
Lucas
