Hey Shatters,

I apologize for sending in two emails tonight. I listened to a little less than half of your deep dive and on an impulse shot off that email about Multiplicity….and now I have another idea to contribute for the Telegraph.

I think it made perfect sense when Caleb was using that stockbroker’s blood as a form of ID. With the tech that’s been used in Westworld, and also the tech that it would’ve taken to create Rohobo, I don’t think it’s too far fetched an idea to believe that using someone’s blood is the ultimate form of ID. With the development of biotech (i.e. Caleb’s drip), I would also think that cosmetic surgery, to alter one’s appearance in any way, is so advanced that you can just go to a surgeon and have a complete face alteration as out-patient surgery to steal someone’s identity, so you’d need a more secure and fool-proof alternative.

I believe, at some point, our own tech world will get to the point where we’re using the genetic markers within someone’s blood as a way to identify them for certain, if not all, transactions. Right when that scene was taking place, I even made it a point to stop the episode and confirm, per my girlfriend who is a nurse, that the device was similar to a pulse oximeter which is used to measure the oxygen in your blood. I don’t think it’s too far off that we use a similar device for just about every transaction in the future. Also, short of what Caleb and Dolores did, it’d be practically fool proof and could carry tremendous amounts of data with whatever biotech implant they’d need to code the blood appropriately.

Well, I think that’ll be it for the night. Again, I appreciate all that the ShatOn crew does for the pod. Even more, I greatly appreciate you giving me a reason to include “Blood Money” in the subject of an email. It’s the little things.

Stay safe and if this does get read during the Telegraph… Stay the fuck home everyone!!

Daniel
