Just One of The Guys (1985)

When Terry Griffith (Joyce Hyser) loses her high school’s writing competition, she’s convinced that it’s because she’s a girl. So Terry decides to change high schools and pose as a boy to prove her point. Her brother, Buddy (Billy Jacoby), helps her pass as a guy so well that she is soon making friends with the boys at school, including the attractive Rick (Clayton Rohner), who becomes her new best friend. But her gender-swapping makes things difficult when she falls in love with him.

The Return of The Living Dead (1985)

When foreman Frank (James Karen) shows new employee Freddy (Thom Mathews) a secret military experiment in a supply warehouse, the two klutzes accidentally release a gas that reanimates corpses into flesh-eating zombies. As the epidemic spreads throughout Louisville, Ky., and the creatures satisfy their hunger in gory and outlandish ways, Frank and Freddy fight to survive with the help of their boss (Clu Gulager) and a mysterious mortician (Don Calfa).

Krush Groove (1985)

Russell Walker (Blair Underwood) has started a new hip-hop and rap label called Krush Groove, which features a stellar list of acts that includes Kurtis Blow and Run-D.M.C. However, Walker doesn’t have sufficient money to keep up the label, especially after Run-D.M.C. scores a big single. As he struggles to fund the label, more and more rap groups, like the Beastie Boys and LL Cool J, emerge in the New York City hip-hop scene. The film is based on the beginning of Def Jam Records.

The Legend of Billie Jean (1985)

Restless teenager Billie Jean Davy (Helen Slater) and her brother, Binx (Christian Slater), dream of leaving oppressive Corpus Christi, Texas, for Vermont. When Binx’s scooter is trashed by bully Hubie Pyatt (Barry Tubb), Billie Jean goes to ask Hubie’s father (Richard Bradford) for $608 for repairs, only to have Mr. Pyatt try to rape her. Cat’s Eye (1985)

Three horror-thriller tales revolve around a mysterious stray cat which is attempting to find a little girl in trouble. His latest client is a man named Morrison, who learns he’ll suffer some terrible consequences if he tries to cheat. In “The Ledge”: the cat is picked up by Cressner, a shady Atlantic City millionaire who forces tennis pro Norris (his wife’s lover), to walk a narrow ledge around his high-rise penthouse apartment. In “The General”: the cat arrives in Wilmington, North Carolina, where it is found by Amanda, the young girl it has been sent to protect. What she needs protection from is a tiny, evil troll who lives behind the skirting board in her bedroom.

King Solomon’s Mines (1985)
