Serac/Vincent Cassel Pronunciation

Hey guys. Love the show, but I have a HUGE favor to ask…

Is there any way that you can pronounce “Serac” and “Vincent” Cassel the same way that 99.99% of the audience, the cast, show runners and even Vincent Cassel himself does?

I can’t be the only one who gets an intense feeling of douche chills running down their spine every time the two of you utter: “Seh-ha” or “Vah-sah” when saying “Serac” or “Vincent”.

I realize that those are probably the “proper” pronunciations, but just don’t care at this point.

I’ve included a few clips of the actors and show runners pronouncing the names themselves:

Thandie Newton’s pronunciation of Vincent Cassel:

Lisa Joy’s pronunciation of Vincent Cassel:

Jonathan Nolan’s pronunciation of Vincent Cassel:

Vincent Cassel’s pronunciation of Serac:

I was hoping I’d get used to it and eventually be less annoyed (I haven’t). Then there was a glimmer of hope when you guys moderated it slightly for an episode or two. But unfortunately, that didn’t last. ? And you seem to have infected Big D too, who occasionally slips up and uses a form of your pronunciation.

Please, I’m begging you…it’s only 2 more episodes (unless he comes back in Season 4). Just say the names like everyone else. ????
We know you’re smarter and more cultured than us. But as Vincent Cassel himself says in one of those clips: “You cannot be too snob.”

Whether you grant my wish or continue torturing me (and probably a huge chunk of the audience), thank you for all your hard work putting out the podcast.

I really do enjoy it!
